It was a late start for both of us. I forgot to write yesterday that I demanded to swap beds yesterday as was convinced that Terrys bed must be more comfortable than mine as he was sleeping so well – I was correct in my assumption, his mattress and duvet were far superior and he didn’t get quite the same night motions as I had had since night one; being up against the outside wall, so to speak.
We got down to breakfast by 09.45 hrs and by this time, had become a bit non exuberant about the whole experience The breakfast buffet had lost its appeal as had offered the same since day 1 although the porridge now required a spatula to be cut out of the serving bowl, rather than spooned out.
We were both tired and having looked at the map of Honningsvågs one street, decided to give it a miss. We spent the entire morning and afternoon just looking out of the windows and reading. The sea had become a little rougher and Terry was grateful to keep his eyes on the horizon, that was when he managed to stay awake.
By the time we went into supper the sea had become really quite unsettled (for choice of words) and it was difficult to maintain a balance walking to our table. As usual, the food served was delicious and the standard of service from the staff, excellent.
After supper we went into the bar area and chatted. Although we had done nothing all day, it was like all our energy had been sapped out of us and all we wanted to do was go to our cabin to sleep, which was exactly what we did do, or at least one of us did….
